First impressions: After reading other reviews, I'm glad I read this before reading Special Forces, because I didn't have the expectations that others did. It was easy to connect with Nikolai, and I loved his awkward relationship with Vadim. The romance was GFY instalove, but Henri was likeable and intriguing enough to make me root for their happy ending. I really want to know more about Henri's backstory, especially the dichotomy of his flirty personality and his intellect and business expertise. So maybe there'll be another novella in the future.... (hint, hint)Unlike some other reviewers, I liked the corporate setting - and not just because of the suits :-) I think the story needed a strong external conflict to make both Nikolai and Henri think long and hard (hehehehehe) about how they want to live their lives. Also - Nik's sister Anya? Holy cow, what a fucking witch.
